1969 Pontiac GTO

Pontiac hit a home run with the GTO’s introduction in 1964. It caught the automotive world by surprise. Soon thereafter there were many competitors in the new “muscle car” segment which the GTO had created. Sales continued to rise each year until sales slightly declined in 1967. Pontiac realized it was going to have to up its game for 1968 and 1969 to stay ahead of the competition. The result was the GTO was given legendary sleek body styling well ahead of its time and additional versions of its powerful 400 cubic-inch V8. You might note with some alarm that the prices on GTOs are going through the roof, making this absolutely stunning 1969 Pontiac GTO hardtop is the one to own. With a stunning restoration, matching numbers drivetrain, posi rear end and correct color combination. It is filled with a factory original green bucket seat interior. The carpet, headliner dash shows some age but are in great shape. The trunk is also beautifully finished with correct spatter paint and zero signs of trouble, and it comes with a matching Rally wheel. An original matching numbers Pontiac 400 cubic inch V8 that is matched to its original turbo 400 automatic 3 speed transmission. It runs extremely well and has a big whack of low-end torque, and thanks to power steering and brakes, it is always easy to handle. A 10-bolt rear end was standard equipment on the Judge, with this one being filled with easy-cruising 3.55 gears that are a nice compromise between street and strip with is factory posi rear end. A newer reproduction exhaust system and a very tidy undercarriage make this a car you can own and drive with confidence.
