Description

Classic Car Addict is proud to resent this NCRS documented Award winning 192 Chevrolet Corvette. In 1962 is a revered body style with its quad headlights up front and rear styling that foreshadowed the upcoming Sting Ray. Its heritage and classic good looks will always be one of the greatest and is sure to gain value. Powered by a 327/250hp V8 engine with casting stamp number of 3782870 paired to a 4-speed manual transmission, this convertible 'Vette includes the original hardtop and folding top. The interior and exterior are Fawn Beige. The odometer reads 3,123 miles (the title reads mileage exempt). The car was restored over a 10-year period to original; documentation and receipts included. This Corvette has received multiple First Place awards, with a score of 98.1 at the Corvette Spectacular 1998 Concours D'Elegance; received First in Class and People's Choice Awards. There is a list of over 20 awards from 1995 to 2002. Its last Judging was in October 2019 at the NCRS Arizona Chapter meet and was awarded another Topflight award and scored 96.5. Award certificates are included with the car. The colors matching convertible top has quite a clean look. Since the roll-up windows are another later C1 advantage, it's nice to see them seal easily with the roof. But a car like this was made to be open to the world. The fawn beige interior matches the exterior perfectly. The overall interior shows the right quality you want with vinyl bucket seats, plush carpeting, complete intricate door panels, and a smooth dash. So, you can tell there has been a good mix of preservation and investment. The steering wheel looks awesome, and its ridges have that great thin, grippy feel that only came on the right cars of this era. It has a nice driver feel with clear gauges, including the tach, and a crisp action from the shifter. They even installed an AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette to upgrade the driving music. The 1962 Corvette was also the only time the first-gen got the larger 327 cubic-inch V8. the way this motor eagerly fires up signals the investments here were more than just cosmetic. The V8 inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor and exhales with a nice tune from the dual exhaust. This is the final year for the generation that launched the legend. That's why this example is both sleek, significant, and ready to drive. Call now!
